Harman has deep experience working with different ethno-cultural communities including, currently, serving as Vice President for the World Sikh Organization of Canada. Beginning as a grassroots organizer, Harman has experience as a political organizer at both the provincial and municipal levels. Navigating systemic barriers and racism has driven Harman to commit to contributing to more inclusive, accessible, and equitable communities. Harman feels privileged to continue to break down barriers for vulnerable communities through serving on the EMCN board and the City of Edmonton’s Anti Racism Advisory Committee.
