Upon earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta, Richard began his legal career at a prominent regional law firm before joining the team at SB LLP.
Richard primarily practices in Wills & Estates, an area in which he has garnered substantial expertise. When it comes to Estate Planning, Richard prioritizes the nuances of each client's unique circumstances. This client-focused approach enables him to provide practical advice tailored to his clients' future planning needs. It also allows him to craft bespoke estate plans that align with their individual objectives.
Richard handles all stages of Probate and Estate Administration. He takes a compassionate and comprehensive approach to Estate Administration, providing support to his clients while focusing on relieving their legal burdens during difficult times.
In addition to his Wills & Estate practice, Richard boasts extensive experience in Intellectual Property law, specializing in Trademarks. He takes pride in partnering with businesses of all sizes, protecting and securing the brands that they have dedicated substantial time and effort to establish and grow.
To bolster his Intellectual Property practice, Richard is currently in the final stages of becoming a Registered Trademark Agent.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Richard is a proud alumnus of the University of Alberta Golden Bears Track & Field team. This athletic background has instilled in him a sense of discipline, teamwork, and a competitive spirit – all of which he applies to his legal practice today.
